Cody Lamar Third in Petaluma, CA
PETERSEN MEDIA- Returning to Petaluma Speedway on Saturday night for weekly PitStopUSA action, Cody Lamar would have a nice night that ended with him finishing third in the feature event.
“It was a good night for us after having a rough go in Petaluma, CA last weekend,” Cody Lamar said. “The track was technical and you had to fight hard for every spot, so really happy with how we performed.”
Timing the A1 Septic/Joe Hunt Magnetos/NAAKE Suspension entry in third fastest during qualifying time trials, Lamar would find himself in the second row of his heat race.
Finishing in the fourth spot of his heat, Lamar would find himself with the seven pill in hand after the redraw, which placed him in the seventh starting position for the 25-lap ‘A’ Main event.
With the track tricky on this night, the Rio Linda, CA driver would have to pick his spots carefully as he made sure to hit his marks. Slowly working his way forward in lapped traffic, Lamar would take over the fourth spot as he chased after the likes of Jake Haulot and Geoff Ensign.
Late in the race, Lamar would take advantage of lapped traffic, as he was able to make a move to solidify the third spot at the finish line.
“I feel like we continue to get better the more we race, and we will head back to Petaluma on Saturday night and see if we can’t get a couple of spots better,” Cody Lamar added.
