PETERSEN MEDIA- Climbing aboard the Tarlton Motorsports No. 21 entry on Saturdya night in Hanford, CA just one week removed from an impressive feature event win, Cole Macedo would have a night riddled with bad luck as he now looks towards a return trip to Placerville Speedway on Saturday.

“We were really fast all night long,” Cole Macedo said. “In the feature it was like we had a bull-eye on our car and some bad luck turned our night sour.”

With 24 cars on hand at the Central Valley facility, Macedo would time the Tarlton and Son, Inc./Executive Auto Sales/Pabco Gypsum backed No. 21 machine in 12thquickest after going out late in the session.

Lining the potent matte black machine up on the pole of his heat race, Macedo would hammer the throttle when the green lights flashed, and raced his way to the important win.

The win would prove to be important as it locked the Lemoore, CA driver into the Dash, where his second place run put him on the front row to start the 30-lap feature event.

When the feature came to life on the racy Keller Auto Speedway surface, Macedo settled into third as he kept the lead duo in his sights. Continuing to work, contact from another car in his left rear would force him to bring out the yellow with a broken wheel.

Going to the work area, the Tarlton Motorsports crew would do a great job of making repairs to Macedo’s mount and got him back on the speedway where he would tag the back of the field.

Still, with a great car underneath him, Macedo would fight his way back through the fray as he quickly reappeared back inside the Top-10. Getting up to sixth, more bad luck would find Macedo as a car would get out of shape in front of him, and with nowhere to go Macedo would get involved and his night would come to an end.

“Thanks to the guys who work on this thing, I felt really good and thought we were going to have a good finish,” Macedo said. “Luckily we get to try again this weekend.”

The Tarlton Motorsports team would like to thank Tarlton and Son, Inc., Executive Auto Sales, Pabco Gypsum, Bandy and Associates, All Star Performance, and BG Lubricants for their support through the 2019 season.

BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-16, Wins-2, Top 5’s-8, Top 10’s-11.
