Cole Macedo Works His Way To Seventh at Placerville Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- Cole Macedo has taken a liking to Placerville Speedway in 2017. Making a return trip to the track on Saturday night, the Lemoore, CA driver picked up another Top-10 finish as he came with in seventh.
“My guys had the car really good in the feature event, and I just stayed out of trouble and made good laps,” Cole Macedo said. “We were able to pick up a few spots and I came away feeling like I learned something for this week’s two-day show.”
Timing the Elite Landscape Construction/Tarlton and Son, Inc./Executive Auto Sales No. 21x entry in seventh quickest in qualifying time trials, Macedo would find himself in the second row of his heat race.
With the surface still a bit hooked up and fast in heat race action, Macedo would settle into the third spot and as he took the checkered flag in third he punched his ticket directly into the 25-lap feature event.
Gridding the field from the 11th starting position, Macedo would get off to a good start as he cracked the Top-10 on the race’s third lap.
Moving into fourth a lap later, Macedo would battle hard for the 10th spot until the race’s first caution flew. Falling back to 11th when the race came back to life, Macedo would stay patient as he re-entered the Top-10 on the 15th lap. Using a late restart to his advantage, Macedo would make a couple of nice moves as he raced up into the seventh spot where he would go on to take the checkered flag.
“It was a good night of racing from start to finish,” Macedo added. “I have to thank everyone who makes this all possible. I am fortunate to be in this position, and I am looking forward to two more nights at Placerville Speedway this Friday and Saturday night.
The Tarlton Motorsports team would like to thank Elite Landscape Construction, Tarlton and Son, Inc., Executive Auto Sales, Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino, Pabco Gypsum, Bandy and Associates, All Star Performance, and BG Lubricants for their support through the 2017 season.
