The Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour made their long-awaited return to California over the weekend. With two of the three races going off without interruption it was a pair of California drivers taking the top prize as Brad Sweet won Friday’s feature in Merced, CA, and Andy Forsberg picked up his first national tour win on Sunday night at Petaluma Speedway.
Tanner Thorson and his Hayward Motorsports team have been extremely fast to kick 2020 off dating all the way back to Chili Bowl. After picking up a win with the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget Series back in February, Thorson continued his winning ways at the Shamrock Classic as he used KSE Racing Products to find victory lane in DuQuoin, IL.
Mark Smith picked up his seventh win of the year at Chatham Speedway on Saturday night, just one night after Dale Smith took top honors, and CJ Leary bested the USAC/CRA field with his KSE Racing Products.
