PETERSEN MEDIA- Fresh off of a Hard Charger effort during the George Tatnell Cup, Ian Madsen and the entire D&B Goodyer Developments team are very excited to head west and compete with the World Series Sprint Cars, as well as contest the Australian Title.
“We are all extremely excited for our trip west, and hopefully we can put together a few strong weekends of racing,” Madsen said. “We are really thankful for Watsons Express Transport and MatTrans Refrigerated Transports for supporting us, and making this trip possible.”
In the team’s most recent racing action, Madsen and company timed in at the George Tatnell Cup 24th fastest after a late draw put them on a very slick surface.
Running well in both his heat races, Madsen was able to gain valuable positions and ended up lining the D&B Goodyer Developments/MK Excavating/Adornato Sand & Gravel machine up in the seventh row for the feature event.
Continuing to show great speed in racing action, Madsen was able to move his machine through the filed, much to the crowd’s approval.
Working his way toward the top-five, Madsen would end up with a sixth place finish, but earned Hard Charger honors for himself and his team.
“Things went pretty well for us in Adelaide, and it is very cool to earn Hard Charger honors for a pretty big event,” Madsen said. “We have a couple of big races coming up, and we are all looking forward to the Australian Title, as we would like nothing more than to get that No. 1 for Darren and Belinda Goodyer.”
