Daryn Pittman and Roth Motorsports Mutually Agree to End Season in Different Directions

PETERSEN MEDIA- After announcing he would be seeking other opportunities for the 2021 season last week, Daryn Pittman has made the decision to vacate the seat of the Roth Motorsports entry following this weekend’s World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series events at Lawton Speedway in Oklahoma, and the Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Texas.

“While we had hoped to finish the year off strong with Daryn Pittman, we respect his decision and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” Team Owner, Dennis Roth said. “We appreciate everything he did for our race team over the last two seasons, and now we will turn our attention to our team’s upcoming events to end the 2020 season and getting prepared for 2021.”

In two seasons with Roth Motorsports, Pittman was able to claim the 2019 DIRTCar Nationals Championship, the 2019 Front Row Challenge Title, the 2019 Gold Cup Race of Champions Crown, and in total four World of Outlaws feature event wins.

In a shortened 2020 campaign due to the shutdown earlier this year, Pittman and company sit 7th in series points with 10 Top-5 finishes and 25 Top-10’s.

“I really want to thank Dennis and Teresa Roth, for the opportunity to drive their car for the last two years. I’d also like to thank Todd Ventura, Brent Ventura, Stephen Hamm-Reilly, and Tony Barkman for their efforts and hard work this season,” Daryn Pittman said. “Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to reach the success we had hoped for, and I feel that it is best for both of us to move in a different direction at this time. I am excited to finish out the season as strong as I can on a personal level, and I hope this allows Roth Motorsports to get a strong start on the 2021 season. I truly wish them nothing but the best moving forward.”

While Pittman vacates the seat following this weekend’s action, Roth Motorsports still intends on fielding a car in the upcoming Governor’s Reign at Eldora Speedway, as well as the remaining events sanctioned by the World of Outlaws.

Details on who will fill the vacated seat are still being finalized and will be released in the near future.

The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, Jason, Tara, and Cole Roth Cattle Co., HR Livestock Transportation, Roth Investments, Southern Pacific Farms, All Star Performance, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, Smith Titanium, and Team Simpson for their support in 2020.

ON TAP: Daryn Pittman and Roth Motorsports will be in action on Friday night at Lawton Speedway, and on Saturday night at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.
