PETERSEN MEDIA- Spending the duration of Saturday night’s feature event in Placerville, CA fighting for the race lead, Greg DeCaires and his Dale Mille Motorsports team would end their night with a very hard fought fourth place finish.

Kicking his night off by timing the Dale Miller Plumbing and Septic/Thompson’s Auto Center/RedHawk Casino backed No. 4SA machine in 12th fastest, DeCaires would find himself on the front row of his heat race.

Taking advantage of the prime starting position, the Elk Grove, CA driver would race his way to the win and earn a spot in the all-important redraw where the three pill would line him up in the second row for the 25-lap affair.

From the second row, DeCaires would jump to the bottom of the slicked off Placerville Speedway and power by both Andy Gregg and Jake Morgan off of turn two to take the lead as the field raced down the backstretch.

With Andy Gregg running in his wake, DeCaires did a masterful job working around the Placerville Speedway as he kept one of his track rivals at bay for nearly the first half of the race.

On the ninth lap, Gregg would shoot low and take the second spot from DeCaires, thought he defending Track Champion would keep the race leader well in his sight.

Continuing to run in the second spot, DeCaires would fall back to third as the race neared the end as Sean Becker was able to get by him, and with roughly five laps to go in the race Mason Moore would knock DeCaires off the podium as he ran in the fourth spot.

Closing in on Gregg for the third spot in the race’s final laps, DeCaires would come up just short of the position as he closed “Big Trophy Night” with a fourth place finish, giving him his 10th Top-5 finish of the season.

Greg DeCaires and the Dale Miller Motorsports team would like to thank Dale Miller Plumbing and Septic, Thompson’s Auto Center, RedHawk Casino, NAAKE Suspension, A.R.T. Speed Equipment, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Gary Morgan Graphics, Joe Hunt Magnetos, Smith Precision Products, MotoWear, Frank’s Auto Body Shop, and Wesmar Racing Engines for their support.
