DJ Netto 11th at Placerville Speedway With KWS

PETERSEN MEDIA: Over the last few years, DJ Netto has seemed to have a love-hate relationship with the Placerville Speedway as luck and results have never have gone his way. Saturday was more of the same for the Hanford, CA driver as he would finish in the 11th spot with the King of the West Series.
“Placerville Speedway seems to have my number, “ DJ Netto said. “I either have horrible luck, or we just don’t seem to have a handle on things, and on Saturday we just missed it in the feature.”
Heading north to Placerville, CA on Saturday night, Netto would time his Netto Ag/Penny Newman Grain/King Racing Products No. 88n machine 16th fastest, just making the heat race inversion.
Starting on the front row of his heat, Netto would slip back to the second spot as he looked to get into the top spot and earn a Dash berth. Unable to do so, Netto would finish second, and line up in the 15th spot for the 30-lap A Main Event.
On an extremely slick Placerville Speedway, Netto would have his hands full, as his car was a little too free for his liking on this night. Still doing what he could through the duration of the race, Netto would work his way forward aboard the Bogies Auto Parts/Penny Newman Grain/Vande Pol Enterprises as the laps clicked down.
Flirting with a Top-10 finish on this night, Netto would close his night out as he took the Ed Entz checkered flag with an 11th place finish.
“We just did not go far enough when we tightened up, and it made things tricky,” Netto said. “When you start that far back you have to be able to move through traffic, and you walk a fine line. We would have like to have done better, but we will turn our focus to this weekend and see if we can get back to victory lane.”
DJ and his Netto Racing team would like to thank Netto Agriculture, Penny Newman Grain, Bogies Auto Parts, King Racing Products, and Vande Pol Enterprises for their support in 2015.
ON TAP: Netto will be at the Keller Auto Speedway on Friday night for the third round of the ‘Battle For the Milk Can’ before heading to the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA for the 2nd Annual Peter Murphy Classic.
2015 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-31, Wins-3, Top 5’s-7, Top 10’s-10
