PETERSEN MEDIA: DJ Netto spent the last week competing with the World of Outlaws in Oregon, and California, and the Hanford, CA driver saved his best for last, as he picked up a seventh place finish with the series on Sunday night.

“We timed in well and ran well in Oregon, and then we got to CA and I struggled in Chico, so it was nice to put that behind me, and run a good race on Sunday night.”

With 27 cars on hand Sunday night, Netto started the night off by timing his Netto Ag/Penny Newman Grain/Bogies Auto Parts No. 88n machine in sixth fastest.

Running sixth in his heat race on a hooked up tight surface, Netto would move to the feature event, where he started in the fifth row.

With the track still staying very fast starts were everything, and Netto was able to gain a couple of positions on the start and the lone restart, as he worked his way up to the seventh spot.

With a majority of the race going caution free, Netto did his best to manhandle his machine around the speedway as wheel stands were the norm, and he closed his five race adventure with the World of Outlaws with a seventh place finish.

“After Gold Cup, it was really nice to get to a new track, and focus on getting those two night’s behind me,” he added. “Have to thank my team for continuing to work hard for me, and give me good cars.”

Spending the middle of last week in in Lebanon, OR and in Medford, OR, Netto showed pretty good speed.

On Tuesday night in Lebanon, Netto timed in 10th fastest before running second in his heat race to Donny Schatz before finishing 18th in the main event.

Back in action on Wednesday at the Southern Oregon Speedway near Medford, OR, Netto timed in ninth fastest, and ran second in his heat race.

Lining up in the sixth row of the main event, Netto would hold his own as he would battle David Gravel and Cody Darrh during the race to finish in the 11th spot.

DJ and his Netto Racing team would like to thank Netto Agriculture, Penny Newman Grain, Bogies Auto Parts, and Vande Pol Enterprises for their support in 2014.

ON TAP: Netto will return to action with the King of the West Series this Friday in Santa Maria, CA and on Saturday in Ventura, CA.

2014 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-41, Wins-1, Top 5’s-6, Top 10’s-12
