Donny Schatz Scores One For the (other) Thumb With KSE Racing Products

PETERSEN MEDIA: During the biggest race of the year, KSE Racing Products shined above the rest. In 5 feature events during the Knoxville Nationals, all four winners had KSE Racing Products bolted in their cars.

The action kicked off on Wednesday night at the “Mecca of Mud” and it was Monster Energy NASCAR standout, Kyle Larson getting the first win of the week board Paul Silva’s potent Finley Farms No. 57. Larson outlasted Donny Schatz and Greg Hodnett to mark the first of five KSE podium sweeps.

Thursday night the action continued on, and David Gravel was simply untouchable. Gravel used his KSE Racing Products to set fast time, win his heat, and win the feature event to claim the first 500 point night clean sweep since 1992. Joining Gravel on the podium on this night to make it a KSE sweep was Brian Brown and Mark Dobmeier.

The recent change in the Nationals format as created a buzz on Friday night with five spots into Saturday night’s feature event up for grabs during the “Hard Knox” qualifying night.

Jason Johnson had a very dominant showing on this night, as he left no doubt that he would be one to watch on Saturday night. Johnson was victorious in the feature event, as Logan Schuchart, Aaron Reutzel, and Cory Eliason joined him in victory lane as the 4 transfers into the Saturday night feature event.

Johnson then hopped back in his car and took home the Speed Sport Challenge win sharing the podium with James McFadden and Brad Sweep for the second KSE Racing Products podium sweep of the night.

Saturday night would be another memorable night for KSE Racing Products. When all of the preliminary features were done and the 24 car field was set, 23 of the 24 starters had KSE Racing Products as part of their racing program.

During the race itself, it was none other than Donny Schatz picking up his 10th career Nationals win. Schatz’s Tony Stewart Racing entry is equipped with a KSE Black Series Gen2 Steering Box, a KSE Power Steering Pump, and Wing Cylinder. Kyle Larson would pick up a second place finish, as Kerry Madsen rounded out the podium making it a perfect five for five on KSE podium sweeps at the Nationals.
