Driver of the Week: Bobby McMahan

The Dream Team is a sucker for a good story and this week’s Driver Of The Week fits that mold. Turning 50 doesn’t mean slowing down and at the King of the West opener, this guy gave himself an early birthday present by having himself a great night in Placerville, a track in which he was Rookie of the Year in 1982. For qualifying 2nd, winning his heat race, then starting 6th and running it up to 2nd in the feature and showing you don’t need a big budget nor a full head of hair to run up front versus the best in California, Bobby McMahan is our 7th Driver of the Week.

Honorable mentions to Bud Kaeding for picking up his first win at the Placerville Speedway after trying for 20 years, and the man, the myth, the legend, The Haud for picking up two more wins with Jamie Miller over the weekend.
