Not much to be said. It’s a National story for all the wrong reasons. A teenager finds himself in a no win situation yet perseveres and trudges forward, trying to somehow balance a book that cannot possibly be balanced. Chase Johnson was thrust into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, a tragic crash when a part didn’t work the way it’s supposed to. Throughout it all, Chase Johnson persevered and finally #wonforMJandDW last Saturday night after four years of trying in a sprint car. No other person is as deserving as the Penngrove, CA native, who is our #DriverOfTheWeek.
Honorable mentions to Cory Eliason, who won at Hanford from dead last, and Colby Copeland, who picked up two runner-up finishes including a hard fought second place with the KWS.
