In an effort to recognize a driver for their exceptional on track performance, a collection of media members has decided to unveil a Driver of the Week award. On a weekly basis we will discuss who we felt had a great week of racing on the track and may not get the full recognition they deserve and name them as our DOTW.
The inaugural Dream Team Driver Of The Week goes to Gettysburg, PA’s Danny Dietrich. Although the 27 year old Dietrich didn’t find the Winner’s Circle on March 12th, Dietrich showed the Dream Team just what it means to be a racer, finishing 5th at Lincoln Speedway in the afternoon, then loading up and making the near 40 mile tow to Port Royal Speedway the same night to race his second show in one day, where he started on the front row of the feature before a cut tire ended his night early. 2 tracks, 2 races, 1 day. Danny Dietrich is recognized as the first Dream Team Driver Of The Week. Congratulations!
Honorable mentions go to rim-riding Kyle Hirst for his effort at the Tulare Thunderbowl prior to being involved in a crash and Landon Hurst, again at Tulare, in the wingless feature who got his elbows up and moved from 13th to 5th on a one-laner.
