Engine Woes Hinder Justin Sanders and Dale Miller Motorsports at Placerville Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- Amidst a very strong night at Placerville Speedway on Saturday night, Justin Sanders and Dale Miller Motorsports would endure engine issues after jumping into the lead on Saturday night.

“We have been working super hard getting everything dialed in on the Dale Miller Motorsports car, and it looked to be going our way on Saturday,” Justin Sanders said. “Unfortunately on the opening lap of the feature, our engine let go and it ended our night.”

Coming into the night on a personal three-race winning streak, Sanders would look to get the Thompson’s Buick-GMC/Thompson’s Jeep-Ram/Dale Miller Septic, Inc. No. 4SA machine it’s first win of the season as he opened the night up by turning in the eighth fastest lap of the night during time trials.

Grabbing a heat race win in convincing fashion,  Sanders would make his way into the redraw where the one pill put him on the pole to start the 25-lap feature event.

With the initial start being waived off due to a stalled car behind him, the second start would see Sanders mash the throttle and jump out to the early lead. Opening up a sizeable lead in just one lap, things would come to an abrupt halt on the second lap as Sanders lost power heading into turns three and four.

Hopping out to examine his machine, the issues were apparent, and Sanders’ night would be over just like that.

“It’s hard to say how your night would have gone, but I had a great feeling with how we felt early,” Sanders said. “It is a definite bummer, and hopefully we can get this No. 4sa car back up and running in no time.”

The Dale Miller Motorsports team would like to thank Thompson’s Buick-GMC, Thompson’s Jeep-Ram, Dale Miller Septic, Inc., North County Plastering, Anrak Corporation, Yuba-Sutter Aviation, Frank’s Body Shop, Wion’s Powder Coating, Walker Performance Filtration, Factory Kahne Shocks, Smith Titanium, FK Rod Ends, Triple X Race Co., King Racing Products, A.R.T. Speed Equipment, and Vortex Wings for their support.
