(PETERSEN MEDIA- Merced, CA)- S&S Promotions has been busy making changes and upgrades to Merced Speedway for the exciting 2019 season, however a recent string of wet weather and more in the forecast has forced officials to call off Saturday’s program thus moving the opener back one week to April 6th.
With the crew bringing in over 100 loads of clay to help widen and reshape the speedway, the work is not quite wrapped up yet and General Manager, Doug Lockwood and staff are hoping to get this project complete in the coming weeks and get the season started on April 6th.
“It has been a tough winter all over the state, and we are working diligently to get Merced in great shape for our season ahead,” S&S Promotions General Manager, Doug Lockwood said. “We are working hard and cannot wait to get things going.”
On the program April 6th is the IMCA Western RaceSaver 305’s, IMCA Modifieds, Mini Stocks, and Valley Sportsman.
