PETERSEN MEDIA- Heading into last weekend’s Cotton Classic, F&F Racing secured a new marketing partner to their team for the final races of 2022 as the team is pleased to welcome Prevision Civil Engineering Inc. aboard.
Founded by Ed Dunkel Jr, PCE is as established full-service firm that has a history of providing comprehensive and sustainable solutions on a wide range of complex projects and issues. Dunkel’s family has provided Civil Engineering and Land Surveying for over 55 years and has reflected directly to PCE’s commitment to excellence and dedication.
With a new partner on board, F&F Racing made the trip to Keller Auto Speedway last Friday night to take part in the Sprint Car Challenge Tour’s Cotton Classic.
Timing the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/Precision Civil Engineering Inc. backed No. x1 in sixth fastest in his qualifying group, Michael Faccinto lined up in the third row of his heat race.
Finishing sixth in his heat, the Hanford, CA native was forced into the night’s ‘B’ Main where he lined up on the pole and chased after one of four transfer spots that was up for grabs on this night.
Leading the field to the green, Faccinto would find himself in a torrid battle with brother, Mitchell as they battled for the top spot on their home track. Fending his brother off, Michael Faccinto picked up the win and moved into the 35-lap Cotton Classic feature event.
Taking the green flag from the 21st starting position, Faccinto would do what he could from the back of the pack on a track that was tough to make up ground on.
Mired in traffic for much of the race, Faccinto would slowly pick up track position as the race got into an extended green-flag run following a myriad of stoppages in the early laps.
When the Cotton Classic feature came to a close, Faccinto took the checkered flag with a 16th place finish.
