Faccinto Closes Out Sprint Car Season at Placerville Speedway with Pair of Top-10’s

PETERSEN MEDIA- Taking part in the NorCal Posse Shootout over Labor Day Weekend to close out the winged 360ci season at Placerville Speedway, Michael Faccinto and F&F Racing had a couple of good runs that saw them come away with two Top-10 finishes.

“It was great to get back up on the hill at Placerville Speedway and I think we had a really good weekend,” Michael Faccinto said. “We led some laps on Saturday night before I made a couple of bad lane choices, and Sunday night there wasn’t a whole lot of passing but we put ourselves right where we needed to be early in the night to have a good finish.”

Saturday night at Placerville Speedway, Faccinto opened his night up by timing the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/Lucas Oil backed No. x1 in third quickest in his qualifying group before a heat race win locked him into the feature event as well as the redraw.

Pulling the one pill, Faccinto led the field to green for the opening night 30-lap feature on the famed red Placerville Speedway clay. Getting the initial jump, Faccinto looked very sporty as he worked around Placerville Speedway and set a nice pace as he searched for his second win of the season.

Leading the first half of the race, Faccinto slipped back to third on the 16th lap, and as he looked for a way back to the top spot he would bobble and fall back to eighth at one point during the final 15 laps.

Settling down, the Hanford, CA driver would make up a little lost ground as he closed Saturday night out with a sixth-place finish.

Sunday night marked the final winged 360ci event of the season at Placerville Speedway, and Faccinto again got the F&F Racing team’s night off to a good start as he timed in second fastest in his qualifying group.

Lining up on the pole, Faccinto would not be denied as he raced to the win and again locked himself into the redraw for the 35-lap Nor*Cal Posse Shootout feature event.

On a very slick racing surface after high heat scorched the area, Faccinto went to work from the seventh starting position. With much of the race ran with the leaders in traffic, Faccinto did a great job of keep the F&F No. x1 inside the Top-10.

When the dust settled, Faccinto closed the night out with an eighth-place finish.

“I have had so much fun driving for Tooch and Allan and working with all of these F&F Racing guys,” Faccinto added. “We may be done at Placerville, but we have some big races coming to close out the season and I am looking forward to.”

F&F Racing would like to thank Bushey Financial Services, C&H Motor Parts, Lucas Oil, , Econo Lube-n-Tune & Brakes, Pacific Highway Rentals, PitStopUSA, FVP, CRV Carbon Solutions, American River Overhead Door, All Pro Heads, Engler, and Don Ott Racing Engines for their support.

ON TAP: F&F Racing will be back at it Wednesday night at Silver Dollar Speedway to open the Gold Cup.
