Faccinto Finishes 11th with World of Outlaws

PC Tim Aylwin

PETERSEN MEDIA- One week removed from his first win with Tarlton Motorsports, Mitch Faccinto was right back to work in Tulare, CA as he competed with the World of Outlaws and came away with an 11th place finish on Saturday night.

“I was really happy to get some good finishes with the World of Outlaws and log more laps in the Tarlton’s 410ci engine,” Faccinto said. “Saturday night we got a lot better in the feature and it has me looking forward to two more nights with them this weekend.”

Friday night opened the weekend for Faccinto and the Tarlton Motorsports team as the Hanford, CA product timed the Tarlton and Son Inc./EZ Haul/Executive Auto Sales backed No. 21 in 11th fastest amongst the 32 drivers checked in for the weekend.

Moving into heat race action, Faccinto was able to hang on to the fifth and final transfer position into the feature event where he would take the green flag from the 19th starting position.

Lining up deep in the star-studded field, Faccinto would battle hard with some of the sports best as he went on to take the checkered flag with a 20th place finish.

Back in action on Saturday night, Faccinto would again time in very well as ended up 13th fastest on the qualifying speed chart and lined up in the second row of his heat race.

Racing to a fourth-place finish in heat race competition, Faccinto again transferred directly into the 35-lap feature event where he would take the green flag from the 13th starting position.

On a very racy Thunderbowl Raceway surface, Faccinto would take part in some great battles as he navigated around the 1/3 mile oval. Though he did fall back to 17th at one point during the race, Faccinto would settle in and get the Tarlton Motorsports entry moving forward.

Amidst some wheel-to-wheel action, Faccinto would find himself up in ninth at the race’s halfway point before eventually settling into the 11th position where he would close his weekend out.

“I’m thankful to the Tarlton family for this chance, and I am looking forward to this weekend’s World of Outlaws double header on two bullrings,” Faccinto said. “I feel like the short tracks in California are our equalizer and I am confident with having a lot of laps at these two tracks we are heading to. “

Tarlton Motorsports would like to thank Tarlton and Son Inc., EZ Haul, Executive Auto Sales, Pabco Gypsum, Bandy and Associates, FK Shocks, FK Rod Ends, System 1 Ignition, Vortex Wings, and BG Lubricants for their support.

BY THE NUMBERS: Races: 4, Wins: 1, Top 5’s: 1, Top 10’s: 2.

ON TAP: Mitchell Faccinto returns to action Friday night in Merced, CA and Saturday night in Watsonville, CA.
