Forsberg 6th at Mac Tiner Tribute

PETERSEN MEDIA- Taking part in the final winged sprint car race of the season at Placerville Speedway on Saturday night dubbed the Mac Tiner Tribute, Andy Forsberg and F&F Racing recorded a sixth place finish.

“58 cars checked in and we were fast time in our group, got through our heat and found ourselves in the draw,” Forsberg said. “We got into the Top-5, but I couldn’t run the top very well at the end of the race and we lost a couple spots and ended up sixth.”

Earning quick time honors in his qualifying group, the Auburn, CA driver would finish fourth in his heat race aboard the C&H Motor Parts/Bushey Financial Services Services/Huggins Cams backed No. x1 machine.

Moving into the redraw, pill puller extraordinaire Jimmy Wall was able to make his season debut for the team and as fate would have it, the seven-pill lined Forsberg up in the fourth row of the 30-lap feature event.

With 94 total cars in the pit area amongst the four divisions on this night, the track held up really well, and was very slick and wide when the 30-lap feature event came to life.

From the fourth row, Forsberg would work on the cushion as he sliced and diced his way into the Top-Five and got up as high as fourth.

In the latter stages of the race, the cushion would get a little tricky, and Forsberg would move to the low groove.

Losing a couple of positions in the final stanzas of the race, Forsberg would cap the 2020 season at Placerville Speedway with a sixth-place finish.

“Big shoutout to RMI for putting together a great track with all these cars in action on Saturday night, and a big thank you to the Tiner Family for all of their hardwork rounding up a ton of money,” Forsberg said. “It was definitely an event that should have been in front of fans, so hopefully we are able to do it again next year.”

F&F Racing and Andy Forsberg would like to thank C&H Motor Parts, Bushey Financial Services, Huggins Cams, PitStopUSAC, Lucas Oil, Pacific Highway Rentals, Autism Awareness, CRV Carbon Solutions, Econo Lube-n-Tune and Brakes, All Pro Heads, and Engler for their support in 2020.

ON TAP: F&F Racing will make the trip to Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, CA to take part in the Morrie Williams Tribute/Cotton Classic on Saturday night.
