PETERSEN MEDIA- Andy Forsberg and F&F Racing are still looking for that big run at Placerville Speedway. Returning to the track that saw the team have immense success at during their first stint together on Saturday night, Forsberg would finish sixth in the feature event.

“We just are in a funk and we can’t seem to put our finger on it,” Andy Forsberg said. “The track was really racy, we just were not and we started where we finished and that’s not where any of us want to be.”

During the track’s second point event of the season, the Auburn, CA driver kicked his night off by timing the Econo Lube-n-Tube and Brakes/Geico Local Office/PitStopUSA backed entry in second quickest in qualifying time trials.

With the fastest four cars in each heat race inverted, Forsberg would grid the field from the second row. Working his way into third when the race came to life, Forsberg would hang on to the position, which put him safely in the nightly redraw.

Pulling the six, Forsberg would take the green flag from the third row on the racy ¼ mile speedway. As the race came to life, Forsberg would lose a few positions though he would continue to run inside the Top-10.

After an early caution, Forsberg would fight his way back forward as he would get back up into sixth and race with the likes of Steven Tiner and Sean Becker. Staying in the sixth position, Forsberg would be unable to get more as he would take the checkered flag in that position.

“We definitely need to get better, and I think we can all agree with that,” Andy Forsberg said. “We are definitely not giving up, so the boys will go to work this week and we will see what we can do it Nevada this week. Thanks to the guys who bust their butts on this car, and to our partners for keeping us out here racing.”

F&F Racing and Andy Forsberg would like to thank Econo Lube-n-Tune and Brakes, Geico Local Office, PitStopUSA, Lucas Oil, Pacific Highway Rentals, Autism Awareness, FVP, and CRV Carbon Solutions for their support in 2018.
