PETERSEN MEDIA- With the Fall Nationals bringing the close to the 2019 season at Silver Dollar Speedway, Andy Forsberg capped his year at the facility with a fourth place finish on Friday night before charging to a ninth place finish during Saturday’s finale.

“Friday night was pretty ho hum,” Forsberg said. “It was juiced up and fast all night, but we put ourselves in a good place all night. Saturday our engine wasn’t running early in the feature, we changed a mag box under yellow and came back up to ninth from the back.”

Timing the Econo Lube-n-Tune and Brakes/Geico Local Office/PitStopUSA backed No. x1 machine in second fastest in qualifying time trials, Forsberg would run second in his heat race and make his way into the Dash.

Finishing third in the Dash on a hooked up racing surface, Forsberg lined up in the second row of the 30-lap Fall Nationals opening night feature event. On the locked down surface, not much was happening through the field as cars were all turning in extremely fast laps.

Keeping the Friends and Family owned machine inside the Top-5, Forsberg would cap the opening night with a fourth place finish.

Back in action on a windy Saturday that would lead the surface to do the opposite as Friday and go dry and slick, Forsberg would go out nearly last of the 55 cars to check in on this night.

With the groups again split, Forsberg would get all he could out of the slick surface and it would result in a second quick qualifying effort that put him on the front row of his heat race.

Picking up the win over Sean Becker, Forsberg would move into the Dash where an eighth place finish put him in the fourth row of the 40-lap feature event. When the race came to life, Forsberg would notice something going sour under the hood of his car.

Causing a yellow on the seventh lap, the F&F Racing team would change a mag box in the work area and get the Auburn, CA driver back out on the speedway. From the back of the pack Forsberg came to life and carved his way forward on the slick surface amidst an action packed feature event.

Getting back into the Top-10, Forsberg would work into 9thas the track started to take rubber. The last handful of laps would see the field in the rubber, as Forsberg would hang on to cap his night with a Top-10 by way of a ninth place finish.

F&F Racing and Andy Forsberg would like to thank Econo Lube-n-Tune and Brakes, Geico Local Office, PitStopUSA, Lucas Oil, Pacific Highway Rentals, Autism Awareness, FVP, and CRV Carbon Solutions for their support in 2019.
