PETERSEN MEDIA- Heading East for one final race weekend in 2016, Tim Kaeding and the Lunstra Motorsports team would have a nice showing in Pennsylvania that was highlighted with a fourth place finish at the Susquehanna Speedway Park.

“It was an awesome trip to Pennsylvania, and it was a really nice showing for our team to put it in the show all three nights,” Tim Kaeding said. “It was the first time Lunstra Motorsports had been that far East, and I am thankful we got to get out there and run.”

Kicking the three-race weekend off on Thursday night at SSP, TK would time the Folkens Bros. Trucking/Dammer Trucking/Mihm Trucking backed No. 3 machine in 12th fastest in time trials.

Moving into heat race action, TK would pick up the important win before finishing third in the night’s Dash, which is where he would start in the feature event. Taking on some stiff competition, the San Jose, CA driver would have a very strong showing as he would take the checkered flag in the fourth spot.

Traveling to Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA on Friday night, TK would get off to a tough start, as he would time in 25th fastest in qualifying time trials.

Finishing seventh in his heat, Kaeding would finish fifth in the B Main and earn a spot in the night’s feature event. From the back of the pack, Kaeding would do some moving and shaking as he worked his way forward to finish in the 16th spot.

Saturday night would see the team head to Lincoln Speedway and take part in the 3rd Annual Dirt Classic. With big money on the line, Kaeding would open the night up by timing in 27th fastest.

Having strong showing in both of his heat races, TK would finish fourth in the first one before tallying a second place finish during his second heat which earned him enough points to move directly into the A Main event.

Sitting 19th in points, TK would grid the field from the 10th row for the 40-lap feature event. On a track that offered competitors multiple grooves, Kaeding was able to work his way forward during the fast paced feature event.

Working his way forward, Kaeding would pick up a 12th place finish during his final start with the Lunstra Motorsports team in 2016.

“It was really a great season for this team,” Tim Kaeding said. “Dave Lunstra, again, gave me a great opportunity this year, and I am very thankful for it. We had some success, won some races, and won some championships. Thanks to all of the people that worked on this thing and supported us.”

The Lunstra Motorsports team would like to thank Folkens Bros. Trucking, Dammer Trucking, Mihm Trucking, Yager Agriculture Supply, Matt’s Repair, and Trac2Trail Arctic Cat for their support in 2016.
