Fuel Issues Slow Faccinto at Petaluma Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- Even though mechanical issues ultimately sidelined Michael Faccinto and the F&F Racing team on Saturday night during the Sprint Car Challenge Tour’s stop at Petaluma Speedway, Faccinto was happy with the speed the team had before their issues as he eagerly awaits this week’s return to Placerville Speedway.

“We had a night where we fought issues all night long, and couldn’t quite get it fixed,” Faccinto said. “I have to thank the F&F guys for being relentless, and I am happy to have some positives to take into this weekend.”

Having a good start to his night, Faccinto timed the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/Lucas Oil backed No. x1 entry in third fastest in his qualifying group.

Lining up on the front row of his heat race, Faccinto made quick work of the field as he ran the Petaluma Speedway to perfection and earned the win thus solidifying himself a spot in the night’s High Sierra Industries Dash.

Taking the green flag from fourth in the Dash, Faccinto’s night would take a turn as fuel issues began to hinder his night. Getting into the corner, Faccinto’s entry would fall on its face and lose power.

Slipping back to finish sixth, Faccinto and crew would go to work under the hood in preparations for the impending feature event.

Hoping they had the issue rectified, Faccinto took the green flag for the feature event from the sixth starting position, but on the race’s opening lap the problem persisted and Faccinto was forced to call it an early night in Petaluma, CA.

“We had a lot of people trying to help, but unfortunately it was one of those issues we couldn’t solve as the track,” Faccinto said. “Thanks to the guys for their hard work, and looking forward to returning to Placerville on Saturday.”

F&F Racing would like to thank Bushey Financial Services, C&H Motor Parts, Lucas Oil, Geico Local Office, Econo Lube-n-Tune & Brakes, Pacific Highway Rentals, PitStopUSA, FVP, CRV Carbon Solutions, American River Overhead Door, All Pro Heads, Engler, and Don Ott Racing Engines for their support.

ON TAP: F&F Racing will be back in action on Saturday night in Placerville, CA.

BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-18, Wins-1, Top 5’s-6, Top 10’s-8
