Garth Kasiner Puts on Pair of Charges at Port City
PETERSEN MEDIA: Saturday night at Port City Raceway, Garth Kasiner had his elbows up all night long as he came from the ‘B’ to gain nine position in the Outlaw feature to finish eighth, after he tagged the rear of the ‘A’ Class feature and gained nine spots in that race to finish 12th.
Unable to run a heat in ‘A’ Class action as the car was late to the track, Kasiner would tag the rear of the feature event as he lined the West Hills Oil/CS9/Security Race Products backed No. 21g entry up in the 11th row.
From his 21st staring position, Kasiner would be a rocket as he worked his way forward on the racy surface. Bobbing and weaving his way forward, Kasiner would have a great run as his night finished with a hard fought 12th place finish.
Also competing in Outlaw Class action all night long, Kasiner’s night in this class would begin with him lining up eighth in his heat race. With a stout field of drivers in heat race No. 2, Kasiner would finish seventh and be forced into the ‘B’ Main.
Lining up on the front row of the ‘B’, the Five Points, CA native would get off to a nice start as he would pace the field and ultimately transfer into the feature by way of picking up the win.
Moving into the ‘Outlaw’ class feature, Kasiner would grid the field from the 17th starting position. Just as he did in ‘A’ Class action, Kasiner would go to work while mired in heavy traffic.
Finding the rhythym that he was in all night long, Kasiner would work his way into the Top-10 late in the race as he took the checkered flag with an eighth place finish.
