Garth Kasiner Records 95th Career Feature Event Win
PETERSEN MEDIA: At a young age, Garth Kasiner continues to reach milestones as his 18th win of the 2017 season on Saturday night at Delta Speedway gave the young standout 95 for his career.
Competing at the Delta Speedway in Stockton, CA on Saturday night, Kasiner got his night started by timing his West Hills Oil/CS9/Security Race Products No. 21G machine in third quickest before racing to a second place finish in his heat race.
Moving into the feature event, Kasiner would find himself on the front row and in a good spot to capture another win. When the feature event went green, Kasiner would fall back to the second spot as he quickly went to work on the cushion that had built up around the racetrack.
Building up momentum, Kasiner would reel in Corey Day who had taken a liking to the bottom of the speedway, but was just not able to get by him as the duo ran side by side.
Taking the top spot on the race’s fifth lap, Kasiner continued to hammer the cushion as he soon approached the rear of the field. In traffic, Kasiner would have a close call as a car would spin just in front of him and bring out the caution flag.
Back underway, Kasiner would open up a bit of lead as he continued to look extremely strong as he kept his right rear planted on the cushion at both ends of the Delta Speedway.
A final restart would see Day hang with Kasiner as the duo ran side by side through one and two before Kasiner was able to clear him down the backstretch. The battle for the top spot would wage on though, and Kasiner would soon drop to the bottom in three and four in an effort to disrupt his competitor’s line.
The duo would begin exchanging the top spot in the closing laps before Kasiner was able to get al little breathing room and race to his 18th wins of the season.
