PETERSEN MEDIA: Garth Kasiner had a very good weekend. Picking up his forth win of the season on Friday night while in action at Dixon Speedway, Kasiner would come right back on Saturday night and finish second during the King of CA race at Lemoore Raceway.

Kicking the double-header weekend off on Friday night in Dixon, the Five Points, CA product timed the West Hills Oil/CS9/Security Race Products No. 21g entry in fastest in time trials.

Lining up fourth in his heat race, Kasiner would pick up a couple of positions as a second place finish would transfer him into the nightly Dash where a second place finish in that race placed him on the front row of the feature event.

When the green flag waived initially, Kasiner was quick to the lead as he went to work on the cushion, only to see the yellow flag waive as he came by to complete the first lap.

Lined up for a complete restart, Kasiner would again go to work on the cushion as he was able to clear his fellow front row starter getting into turn three on the opening laps after a side-by-side battle for ¾ of a lap.

Living on the cushion, Kasiner would leave the field in his wake, as he was just too good on this night. Not letting restarts slow him down, Kasiner was impressive as he raced his way to the win.

Traveling to Lemoore Raceway on Saturday night, Kasiner would continue to show tremendous speed as he set the standard in time trials for the second night in a row aboard his Roger Vogt’s Performance Auto & Air/Irritec P1 Drop Tape/Keizer Wheels machine.

Going from fourth to third in his heat race, Kasiner would see the four inversion place him in the second row for the feature event. Again taking a liking to the cushion in the feature event, Kasiner would again jump into the third spot as the two leaders raced side-by-side ahead of him.

Attempting to get to second on the second lap, Kasiner’s move would not stick and he would continue to run in third. Continuing to run on the color change, Kasiner would hold down the third spot as he kept the lead duo in his sights.

Using traffic to his advantage late in the race, Kasiner would sneak into the second spot as he began to chase after the race leader. A couple of late restarts would give Kasiner a couple shots at going for the win, but in the end he would settle for a second place finish.

Garth Kasiner would like to thank West Hills Oil, CS9, Security Race Products, Roger Vogt’s Performance Auto & Air, Irritec P1 Drop Tape, Keizer Wheels, Factory Kahne, Kasiner Farms Inc., B&B Ag Transport LLC, Superior, Soil Supplements, Simplot, and Fresno Equipment Company for their support.
