Garth Kasiner Second at Delta Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA: Returning to Delta Speedway on Saturday night, Garth Kasiner would take part in a very entertaining feature event that ultimately saw the standout driver record a second place finish.

Getting his night kicked off by timing the West Hills Oil/CS9/Security Race Products backed No. 21g machine in third fastest in qualifying time trials, the Five Points, CA gasser would line up in the second row of his heat race.

Racing to a second place finish after starting in the fourth spot, Kasiner would find himself on the pole for the 25-lap feature event as he was in search of his 13th feature event win of the season.

Taking the green flag from the front of the pack, Kasiner would jump out to the early lead as he appeared to have a very strong car under him on this night.

Getting into traffic on the sixth lap, Kasiner would see his lead shrink up briefly until the caution flag flew and gave the leaders a clear traffic.

Back underway, Kasiner would continue to lead the way as he hammered the bottom of the track to perfection in turns one an two, and made really good laps on top in three and four.

Another restart on lap nine would again see Kasiner gap the field as he continued to lead the way and turn in some impressive laps until the caution again flew on the 12th lap.

Continuing to lead the way, a lap car would get out shape in front of him on the 16th lap and would make contact with Kasiner and drop him back to the second spot.

Running second, Kasiner would begin to reel in the race leader as traffic came into play in the races final laps. With the leader half spinning in front of him with just two laps to go Kaisner would retake the lead, but with the yellow flag flying, he would be put back in the second spot on the final restart.

A wild restart would see Kasiner take a shot at the race lead, but he would be denied as he would ultimately come home with a second place finish.
