PETERSEN MEDIA- Heading to the Devil’s Bowl Speedway near Mesquite, TX over the weekend, Harli White and her Harli White Racing team took on the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour during the Winter Nationals where White would finish 15th on Saturday night.

“I drew really well all weekend long, and we had some good speed just don’t’ have the results to show for it,” White said.

Lining up on the pole of her heat on Friday night, the Lindsay, OK driver got off to a great start aboard her Mesilla Valley Transportation/Jerry Tucker Roustabout/Lucas Oil backed No. 17W machine and went on to earn the win and make herself redraw eligible.

Pulling the four pill, White would line up in the second row of the feature event and as the race went green she jumped into the third spot. Running in the show position, White would turn in some very impressive laps until the 10th lap when her left rear shock failed her and made her car tough to drive.

White would ultimately pull of the racing surface and bring her night to an early end.

Back at the speedway on Saturday night with new night ahead of her, White would again draw very well for her heat race as he she would grid the field from the front row for the second consecutive night.

Slipping back to second on the start on the race, White would chase after the leader as the preferred groove for heats was right around the top of the speedway. Unable to make a pass, White’s second place effort would put her on the front row of the B Main.

Settling in the second spot aboard her Charlie’s Trucking/PXP Raceway/All Star Café entry as the B Main came to life, White would continue to take a liking to the topside of the speedway as she chased after the leader.

With rubber going down on the speedway on the bottom groove, White would slip to third as she was unaware of the rubber, and quickly dropped down to protect herself, and move into the feature event.

Lining up in the 22nd spot for the feature event, the rubber would continue to go down on the Devil’s Bowl Speedway and passing would be extremely tough on this night. Able to pick off a couple of spots during the duration of the race, White would close the Winter Nationals out with a 15th place finish.

“The track was tricky, but I felt like we had good speed against the ASCS National guys,” White added. “Saturday I really needed to take advantage of my heat race starting spot, because that was the difference in starting towards the front, and starting at the rear of the field.”

Harli White Racing would like to thank Mesilla Valley Transportation, Jerry Tucker Roustabout, Lucas Oil, Charlie’s Trucking, PXP Racewear, All Star Cafe, Boyd’s Racing Engines, Race Chic, Crash Enterprises, Outlaw Wings, Super Flow Testers, Simpson, Classic Seagulls UK, Eagle Motorsports, and the Shriners Hospital For Children Gavelston for their support during the 2015 season.
