PETERSEN MEDIA: Looking to put a disappointing weekend at the I-80 Speedway behind him, Dakota Hendrickson and his Van Dyke Motorsports team are looking forward to kicking off the Inaugural National Sprint League season off on Saturday night.
“It was an okay weekend for us,” Hendrickson said. “We had some decent speed, but things did not go our way.”
Friday night during the Spring Meltdown, Hendrickson would finish sixth in his heat race and have to take a trip to the B Main.
Needing to finish in the Top-Two of the semi, Hendrickson would find himself in a battle with Jamie Ball and Josh Ridel. Trying to make a move to get into the transfer spot, Hendrickson would come up short, and finish third, ending his night early.
Back in action on Saturday night, extremely slick conditions greeted drivers, and teams, as Hendrickson would finish fifth in heat race action. Making another stop in the B Main Hendrickson would find himself in a transfer position until he got caught up with a spinning car, and his night would come to a close.
“We had a tough couple of weekends, but hopefully we can learn from it, and have a nice start with the NSL on Saturday night,” he added. “I am looking forward to the season ahead, and have confidence in this Van Dyke Motorsports team.”
The Van Dyke Motorsports team would like to thank Lucas Oil, K&N Products, JRI Shocks, NAAKE Suspension, FSR Radiators, for their support during the year.
