Henry 11th at Keller Auto Speedway with McColloch Motorsports
PETERSEN MEDIA: Heading south on Saturday night to get a night of racing in at Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, CA, Kalib Henry would race his way to an 11th place finish with aboard the McColloch Motorsports No. 17 entry.
“We had really good speed on Saturday night, we just kind of fell off at the end of the race,” Kalib Henry said. “Thanks to Nick and Kerry for all the hard work, and thanks to my dad for letting us run the family engine.”
Running a two-heat format with no time trials, Henry would go from third to win his first heat race before finishing ninth in his second heat after being involved in an altercation.
Moving directly into the feature event, the Mather, CA driver would grid the field from the 12th starting position aboard the McColloch’s RV Repair/Davis Truck Painting/ART Speed Equipment backed entry.
On the slick surface in Hanford, CA Henry would actually fall back to 13th when the race got underway. As things settled in, Henry would then begin working his way forward and quickly crack the Top-10.
Getting into seventh by the race’s halfway point, Henry would then begin to falter a little. Falling back to ninth on the 17th lap, Henry would get back up to eighth with just seven laps left in the race.
On the 23rd maker, he would slip back to 11th, where he would go on to finish and close out his night.
“It definitely was not the results that we were hoping for, but I really am happy to be making a lot of gains with this team,” Henry said. “Hoping we can sneak a few more races in this summer.”
