Ian Madsen Fourth at Millstream Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- Competing in Ohio over the weekend, Ian Madsen would bounce back from a disappointing night at the Eldora Speedway and finish fourth on Sunday at the Millstream Speedway.
“We just missed the Dash at Eldora, and we ended up having to start 20th,” Madsen said. “We got rolling pretty good, but we were a lap down and the cars we passed didn’t show up on the results sheet.”
Taking on the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions during their season finale on Saturday night, Madsen would time the Nehring Construction/Team Kline Electric/Logan Contractors Supply Inc. No. 18 machine in eighth fastest.
Finishing fourth in his heat race, the St. Marys, NSW driver would come up just short of earning a dash berth and would subsequently find himself lining up in the 10th row of the feature event on the famed ½ mile speedway.
A fast surface saw the leaders roll up on the back of the pack very quick, and going a lap down relatively early, Madsen would be stuck in no mans land for the rest of the race. Though not giving up on the night, the 2014 Knoxville Raceway Track Champion would race hard and pass lead lap cars, as he ended his night with an 18th place finish.
Heading to the Millstream Speedway on Sunday night, Madsen would have a strong night that saw him pull the eight pill in the feature event redraw. Lining up in the fourth row for the feature event, Madsen was able to race his way forward as he battled with Kody Swanson and Logan Forler as they battled for track position in the top five.
Able to get into the fourth spot, Madsen would continue to stalk Forler for the final position on the podium. Able to get to him on a few occasions, Madsen could not quite get around him to get on the podium, and would close his weekend out with a fourth place finish.
“Sunday night we had a really good car, and were able to get into the redraw, and move forward,” Madsen said. “Huge thanks to all of my guys for their hard work, and everyone involved with this KCP Racing for their continued support.”
Ian and his KCP Racing team would like to thank Nehring Construction, Team Kline Electric, Logan Contractors Supply Inc., Greenland Homes of Iowa, Royal Flooring, Aspen Aire Inc.
