PETERSEN MEDIA- Returning to the Eldora Speedway just a couple of weekends after scoring his first career win at the famed ½ mile, Ian Madsen and the KCP Racing team would finish seventh during the Sprintacular with the All Star Circuit of Champions.

“We had really good speed early, but there was a ton of cars there for the event and the track was pretty tough to race on in the feature,” Ian Madsen said.

Getting the night started off very fast, Madsen and company would pick up quick time honors during the All Star Circuit of Champions qualifying session.

Lining the Logan Contractors Supply, Inc./Aspen Aire/Team Kline Electric No. 18 up in the second row of his heat race, Madsen continued to flex his muscle at the track nested in Rossburg, OH as he would pick up the win and move into the feature event.

Lining up in the third row of the feature event, Madsen would spend much of the night fighting for sixth and seventh as the slick surface would soon begin taking rubber.

Clicking off laps in torrid pace during what would be a non-stop feature event, Madsen would soon find the rubber and find himself on the rear bumper of Sheldon Haudenschild.

As rubber continued to go down, Madsen would simply hold his place in line and hope for a mistake in front of him. With no such luck, Madsen would close his night out with a seventh place finish.

“There were a ton of cars in the pits, and the track just went away in the feature event,” Madsen said. “We had a very fast racecar all night long, and I have to thank the guys for all of their continued hard work.”

Ian and his KCP Racing team would like to thank Logan Contractors Supply Inc., Aspen Aire, Team Kline Electric, Royal Flooring, Bobcat, TammyHeckart.com, Caliber Iowa, Quality Traffic Control, Flatrate, Inc., Speck USA, Bergen Paulsen, Coverage Direct, Finer Cuts Lawn and Landscape, Lucas Oil, and Revolution Race Gear for their support this season.
