PETERSEN MEDIA- Ready to embark on a busy and extremely important couple of weeks in the Midwest fresh off of two Top-10 finishes in New York, Ian Madsen and KCP Racing have made the decision to forego next week’s Weld Racing Capitani Classic at Knoxville Raceway and set their sights on the Front Row Challenge and the Knoxville Nationals.

“It was a tough decision for our team with the Capitani Classic meaning a lot to all of us, but we felt it was a better decision to run this weekend’s twin Iron Man 55’s and then get ready for Monday night at Southern Iowa Speedway for the Front Row Challenge,” Madsen said.

Following this weekend’s Iron Man 55 in Pevely, MO, Madsen and KCP Racing will make the trip back to their home base in Iowa where they will take part in the Front Row Challenge on Monday, August 6th.

Taking Tuesday night off, Madsen will check into Knoxville Raceway on Wednesday night where he will put the Logan Contractors Supply, Inc./Aspen Aire/Royal Flooring backed entry to the screws as he makes his qualifying attempt for the 58th Annual Knoxville Nationals.

Friday night he is scheduled to take part in the Speed Sport World Challenge before the Knoxville Nationals finale on August 11th.

“It is a busy, but great time of the year,” Ian Madsen added. “It will be great to be bac in the Midwest, and back in Iowa in front of so many fans and great partners. It has been great chasing the World of Outlaws fulltime this season, and we look forward to seeing what we can do at the Nationals.”

Ian and his KCP Racing team would like to thank Logan Contractors Supply Inc., Aspen Aire, Royal Flooring, Bobcat, Team Kline Electric, Ted’s Body Shop, Bobcat, Team Excavating, Greenland Homes, Finer Cuts Lawn and Landscape, American Express, TammyHeckart.com, Quality Traffic Control, Bergen Paulsen, Coverage Direct, Revolution Race Gear, Monarch’s, and BK Racing Titanium for their support this season.
