Issues Hamper Kasiner at Port City
PETERSEN MEDIA: Scheduled to compete in a pair of races over the weekend, weather on Friday night forced Arkoma Speedway to cancel, but Saturday was all systems go at Port City Raceway for Garth Kasiner.
Pulling the 88 pill the open the night up, the Five Points, CA native would line the West Hills Oil/CS9/Security Race Products No. 21G machine up scratch on the field back in the seventh position.
Able to pick up a position, Kasiner would finish sixth but it would still force him into the ‘B’ Main where he would take the green flag from the fourth starting position. With a very fast Vogt’s Performance Auto and Air/Irritec P1 Drip Tape/Keizer Wheels machine underneath him, Kasiner was able to work his way forward and grab the win.
By way of the win in the semi, Kasiner would move into the feature event where he would take the green flag from the 17th starting position. When the race came to lfie, Kasiner would show off some serious speed as he was able to pick up a few spots before a slew of stoppages slowed the race.
Running in 14th, a restart saw contact ensue to Kasiner’s machine and it would result in him coming to a stop on the backstretch and his night would unfortunately come to an early end as he would be credited with an 18th place finish.
