JA 10th at Placerville Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- Jonathan Allard and his Tri-C Motorsports team followed the Civil War Series Presented By Flowmaster to the Placerville Speedway where Allard would overcome a tough qualifying effort and finish in the 10th spot.
“We did not get timed in well, and that makes things tough for the rest of the night,” Allard said. “The guys worked hard all night long, and we were able to pick up some spots in the feature event.”
Timing the Tri-C Manufacturing/ButlerBuilt/Amerikote backed No. 3c machine in 19th fastest of the 23 cars checked into the pit area, the Chico, CA driver found himself in the third row of his heat race.
Finishing in the fifth position of heat race action, Allard would line his King Racing Products/BR Motorsports/Red Line Oil backed machine up in the 19th starting spot for the 30-lap feature event.
A slick and technical track made passing tough on Saturday night, but Allard was still on a mission from the back as he constantly changed his line as he fought his way forward. In the races caution plagued opening 11 laps, Allard would get up near the Top-10 as he sat in the 11th spot when the caution flew on lap 12 after battling with Kirt Organ and Matt Peterson.
Getting into the Top-10 late in the race, a final restart with three laps to go, saw Allard battle with Mike Benson and Justin Sanders, but could not get the spot, as he would close his night with a 10th place finish.
“10th is certainly not where we want to be, but we did move forward on a track that was tough to gain spots on at times,” Allard added. “We have some work to do this week, and we are looking forward to getting back up to Chico, CA this Friday and Saturday night.”
Allard would like to thank Tri-C Manufacturing, K&N, ButlerBuilt, Amerikote, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Red Line Oil, KSE Racing Products, Weld Wheels, NGK Spark Plugs, FK Rod Ends, Hunt Magnetos, Longacre Products, RCM Design, Ti64, A.R.T. Speed Equipment and Hoosier Tire for their support.
2015 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-29, Wins-4, Top 5’s-13, Top 10’s-18.
ON TAP: Allard will be back at the Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday night for weekly point racing before resuming his King of the West Series campaign on Saturday night during the David Tarter Memorial.
