PETERSEN MEDIA- Jonathan Allard and his Tri-C Motorsports team continue to make gains, and that was apparent over the last week with the World of Outlaws as the Chico, CA driver finished fifth with the series at the Placerville Speedway before a late restart on Sunday night in Calistoga, CA saw him cross the stripe in 11th.

“My guys have been working very hard, and we are getting better,” Allard said. “We still have work to do, but we are making progress.”

Wednesday night at the Placerville Speedway saw the 2014 Gold Cup Champion set the standard in time trials, as he earned fast time honors. Following a third place finish in his heat race, Allard would finish eighth in the dash after getting pushed off the racing surface, putting him in the fourth row for the 35-lap feature event.

With the track staying tight in the early part of the feature event, Allard carefully picked his spots as he worked his way forward. A couple of late cautions allowed Allard to grab a few more positions, as he was able to finish in the fifth spot when the race came to a close.

The Calistoga Speedway was the scene for Saturday and Sunday night races, and after a disappointing qualifying run, Allard would move from eighth to fourth in his heat race, and transfer directly into the feature event.

Gridding the field from the 24th starting position, Allard continued to move forward, as he flirted with a charge into the Top-10, until a caution on the 22nd lap saw him pull in to the pit area with a part failure.

Sunday night the three-race week came to a close as JA timed in 13th fastest before finishing third in his heat race.

Lining up 13th in the feature event, Allard went to work on the bottom of the Calistoga Speedway as he quietly gained numerous positions, and ran in the seventh spot with just eight laps to go.

The final restart of the night saw a competitor shove their nose under Allard’s machine and as it forced him off the bottom, Allard lost a few spots, and wound up finishing in the 11th position.

“We had really good speed all week long, now we have to continue to be strong from hot laps through the A Main,’ Allard said. “We have shuffled some people around over the last few weeks, and I truly feel we have put a solid team together.”

Allard would like to thank Tri-C Manufacturing, K&N, ButlerBuilt, Amerikote, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Red Line Oil, KSE Racing Products, Weld Wheels, NGK Spark Plugs, FK Rod Ends, Hunt Magnetos, Longacre Products, RCM Design, Ti64, A.R.T.
