PETERSEN MEDIA- James McFadden has had a few weeks off to prepare himself for a rigorous 9 races in 9 days stretch known as Ohio Speedweek, and the Australian driver could not be more excited.
“We have had a bit of a break in our schedule with weather, and in preparation for Ohio Speedweek, and I am really looking forward to this,” McFadden said.
Hitting all corners of the “Buckeye State” McFadden will get to a couple of tracks he has visited already in his past US trips, but will also see many new facilities for the first time, all while taking on the stars and cars of the All Star Circuit of Champions.
Kicking off on Friday night, McFadden and his JG Racing team will hit the Attica Raceway Park, one of the tracks McFadden has already seen in his four races stateside. During that outing, McFadden ran well, but mechanical woes knocked him out of the race.
The week moves on in rapid-fire fashion as they McFadden get’s another shot at the famed Eldora Speedway. Following ‘The Big E’, McFadden will make his debut at the Waynesfield Raceway Park on Sunday, his first visit to Wayne County will come on Monday, before his first visit to the Sharon Speedway on Tuesday night and the Atomic Speedway on Wednesday night.
Thursday night he gets back to the Fremont Speedway, a track where he just led 50-laps en route to his first win in the USA. Friday night he returns to Limaland in Lima, OH before closing out he grueling week on Saturday back at Fremont.
“I hear I am in for nine nights of slick tracks, and I am really looking forward to it,” he said. “I feel like we have gotten okay on the slick in our few races, and with the guys working so hard the last couple weeks, I am hoping we can keep form with the All Star Series.”
