Jarrett Soares 13th at Placerville Speedway
PETERSEN MEDIA- Getting back behind the wheel of his American Tool & Mfg./C&H Veteran Enterprises/Dickens Cider No. 12 machine on Saturday night with the King of the West Series, Jarrett Soares would tally a 13th place finish at Placerville Speedway.
“I missed it in qualifying and put us near the bottom of the speed chart,” Soares said. “In the feature I was able to work my way forward and get near the Top-10, but I looped it and we ended up 13th.”
Timing in 15th on the ¼ mile bullring, Soares would find himself in the fifth spot during heat race action, putting him in the seventh row of the 30-lap A Main event.
With the track staying really hooked up on the bottom of the speedway, like the rest of the field, Soares would go to work on the bottom groove.
Able to make up some ground in the opening stages of the race, Soares would get up to the 11th spot as he looked for a position inside the Top-10.
Continuing to look for a way, Soares would lose the handle on his machine and be forced to the tail end of the field with just a few laps left in the race. From the back of the back, Soares would again do what he could to pick up lost spots as the Discovery Bay pilot would get back to finish in the 13th spot.
“I have to continue to thank Brian Sperry and my dad for all of their hard work,” Soares added. “They both work really hard, and deserve some better results. We still have a few races left through the next month or so, and hopefully we can have a couple of good runs.”

ON TAP: Soares will be off this weekend before returning to KWS action on Oct. 7-8th when they take to the Ocean Speedway and Thunderbowl Raceway.
