PETERSEN MEDIA- Jarrett Soares put together a nice night with the Civil War Series pres. by Flowmaster on Saturday night in Tulare, CA. In what was the first ever appearance by the series at the Central CA speed plant, Soares came away with a sixth place finish.
“My dad and Brian Sperry really work hard on this race team, and it was great to get a good finish with the series,” Jarrett Soares said. “It looks like we will keep running with the Civil War Series so my goal is to keep running up front.”
Soares kicked Saturday night off by timing the American Tool and Mfg./C&H Veteran Enterprises/Performance Powder Coating entry in eighth quickest in qualifying time trials.
Lining up on the front row of his heat race, the Discovery Bay, CA driver would battle hard with DJ Netto and Jace Vander Weerd before settling with a third place finish.
Missing out of the Dash, Soares would grid the field from the fourth row for the 30-lap feature event. With the track still wide and racy during the Civil War Series’ feature event, Soares did a nice job of moving around and finding which line suited him best.
Chasing after the likes of Jace Vander Weerd and Cole Macedo, Soares would keep his machine well inside the Top-10 for the duration of the race. When the checkered flag flew on the finale, Soares came home with a sixth place finish.
“We felt really good on Saturday night, and I am working on getting more focused on a nightly basis,” Soares added. “I really have to thank my dad, Sperry, and everyone for all of their hard work they put on my cars weekly.”
