Joel Myers Jr Looks Forward To Upcoming World of Outlaws Event at Placerville Speedway
PETERSEN MEDIA: Having a tough weekend in Chico, CA as he made his return to his home state, Joel Myers Jr is eager to get back to racing on Saturday night as he is set to take on the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series at Placerville Speedway.
“We really struggled all week at Gold Cup, which was a little frustrating, but we didn’t give up,” Joel Myers Jr said. “Anything we tried just didn’t seem to work, so we will do some homework this week and get ready for Placerville Speedway on Saturday.”
Running with both the Sprint Car Challenge Tour as well as the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series last week, Myers Jr picked up a sixth place finish in the SCCT B, and then was 21st in his prelim with the World of Outlaws, before racing his way to a 13th place finish in the Saturday night ‘B’ after starting his night out in the ‘C’.
“With how much we had been racing, I had a lot of confidence heading into the Gold Cup week, but it just didn’t pan out,” Myers Jr added. “Placerville is a track that I love racing at, so I’m excited to get up there this weekend and try again.”
