PETERSEN MEDIA- Spending his weekend racing at his home track, the Silver Dollar Speedway, Jonathan Allard would have two strong nights that saw him charge from 13th to finish third on Friday night, and from 12th to finish fourth on Saturday night during the David Tarter Memorial.

“If we can get ourselves timed in a little better, I think we will be pretty tough to beat up front,” Allard said. “We had a great car both nights, and I think that showed with how we were able to work our way forward.”

Checking in at the speedway on Friday night for the track’s weekly point program, Allard would time the Tri-C Manufacturing/Walker Performance Filtration/ButlerBuilt backed No. 3c entry in 13th fastest, before finishing fifth during his heat race.

Lining up in the seventh row of the feature event, Allard would flex his muscles as he guided his Clyde and Marion Lamar owned entry through a strong field of cars assembled on a sizzling Friday evening.

Slicing and dicing his way through traffic on the ¼ mile speedway, Allard would work his way forward and cap his night off with a podium finish as he was able to make some swift late race moves.

Regrouping for the King of the West event on Saturday night, JA would again get off to a slower than desired start as he again timed in 13th fastest on this night. Lining up in the third row of his heat race, Allard would have his elbows up as he worked his way up to finish in the third spot as he tried to make a bid for the Dash.

Finding himself in the sixth row for the 35-lap feature event, Allard would again show his ability to move his way forward, as he had a very strong All American Powder Coating/King Racing Products/BR Motorsports backed entry on this night.

Racing wheel-to-wheel with the likes of Bud Kaeding, Willie Croft, and Jason Statler, Allard was able to quickly work his way up inside the Top-Five.

Continuing to battle, the Chico, CA driver would fight with Sean Becker in the final laps for the third spot, but would end his night with a fourth place finish.

“This team is in a really good spot right now, and I owe it all to the guys who bust their tails working on it,” Allard said. “Thanks to Clyde and Marion Lamar for continuing to stick behind us, and hopefully we can get them into victory lane soon.”

Allard would like to thank Tri-C Manufacturing, Walker Performance Filtration, ButlerBuilt, All American Powder Coating, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Red Line Oil, KSE Racing Products, NGK Spark Plugs, FK Rod Ends, Hunt Magnetos, Longacre Products, RCM Design, Ti64, A.R.T. Speed Equipment, AL Driveline, and Hoosier Tire for their support.

2016 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-26, Wins-6, Top 5’s-15, Top 10’s-16.

ON TAP: Allard and the Tri-C Motorsports team will again be at the Silver Dollar Speedway this coming Friday before heading to the Placerville Speedway on Saturday night to take on the Civil War Series.
