PETERSEN MEDIA- Spending his weekend at the nearby Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA, Jonathan Allard raced his way to a third place finish on Friday night before an incident on the opening lap of the Saturday night ‘A’ brought his night to an early end.

“It was good to run well on Friday night, but we sure had some struggles on Saturday,” Allard explained. “It’s been rough trying to get everyone acclimated, but I think we are showing signs of improvement.”

Timing his Tri-C Manufacturing/Walker Performance Filtration/ButlerBuilt backed No. 3c machine in second fastest amongst the 29 cars entered into the event, Allard would charge from the second row of his heat race to grab the win and move into the redraw.

Finding himself with the eight pill, Allard would grid the field from the fourth row for the 25-lap feature event. On a track that stayed extremely hooked up through the night, Allard did what he could to move forward.

Letting it all hang out, JA was able to drive by Mason Moore and Mike Monahan early on in the feature until an early caution flag flew. When the action resumed, Allard was able to work up into the third spot as he chased after Skyler Gee and Cody Lamar.

As the race clicked off Allard was able to reel in Gee in traffic, but on the ultra fast surface, he was unable to get into the second spot and closed his night out with a third place finish.

Returning to the speedway on Saturday night to take on the World of Outlaws, Allard would turn in a less than desirable time trials. In a deep hole, ‘JA’ would finish eighth in his heat and be forced into the night’s Last Chance Showdown.

Finishing in the fifth spot of the semi, Allard would move into the feature event where he started from the 23rd spot. On the start of the race, Allard would get a piece of an opening lap wreck, and the damage would see him end his night early at the trailer.

“Saturday night was a rough night,” Allard said. “It is a night we will look to put behind us soon, and hopefully get better from. My guys are working hard and hopefully we can get rolling in the right direction.”

Allard would like to thank Tri-C Manufacturing, Walker Performance Filtration, ButlerBuilt, Amerikote, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Red Line Oil, KSE Racing Products, Weld Wheels, NGK Spark Plugs, FK Rod Ends, Hunt Magnetos, Longacre Products, RCM Design, Ti64, A.R.T. Speed Equipment, AL Driveline, and Hoosier Tire for their support.

2016 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-14, Wins-5, Top 5’s-6, Top 10’s-6.

ON TAP: Allard and the Tri-C Motorsports team are planning to follow the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series to the Calistoga Speedway this Saturday and Sunday night.
