PETERSEN MEDIA- Jonathan Allard and his Tri-C Motorsports team spent their independence day celebrating Allard’s 60th career win at the Silver Dollar Speedway.
“This was another great performance by this team, and I am happy to score another win at the Silver Dollar Speedway,” said Allard. “We have had some great product sponsors stand behind us all year, and it is great to grab another win for them.”
Timing in fourth fastest, Allard would then pick up a third place finish in heat race action, and qualify for the nightly redraw. Pulling the coveted one pill, Allard would line the Tri-C Manufacturing/K&N/ButlerBuilt No. 3c entry up on the front row of the 25-lap feature event.
Jumping out to the lead as the race went green, Allard would face challenges from some familiar foes in Andy Forsberg and Carson Macedo. A pair of cautions during the first half of the race would see Allard’s lead diminish on a pair of occasions, but the Chico, CA pilot was masterful on his restarts, and continued to show the way out front.
Back underway, Allard continued to set the pace over Macedo as Forsberg, and a charging Sean Becker joined the fray. With a handful of the region’s top wheelman flanking him, Allard was able to get to the checkered flag first as he picked up his 60th career win at the track he cut his teeth at.
“We still have to win quite a few races to catch Brent Kaeding,” Allard said in regards to catching the All Time wins leader. “We had an awesome car, and it was a pleasure to drive. The guys have been working hard for the last month or so now and it is showing. It is great to grab another win for Clyde and Marion Lamar, and I am looking forward to getting back to Watsonville, CA this weekend.”
