Justin Sanders and Dale Miller Motorsports 7th at Adobe Cup VIII
PETERSEN MEDIA- Fresh off of a second place run at the Fall Nationals, Justin Sanders and Dale Miller Motorsports made the decision to make a rare appearance at Petaluma Speedway on Saturday for Adobe Cup VIII where they picked up a seventh place finish.
“They ran a passing point format, and dual heat races and we put ourselves in a decent position,’ Sanders said. “It was pretty sticky and hooked up most of the night and that made passing a little tough.”
Drawing for heat starting position in the first heat, Sanders lined the Thompson’s Buick-GMC/Thompson’s Jeep-Ram/Dale Miller Septic, Inc. backed No. 4SA machine up seventh in his first heat race.
Making his way forward in the first 10-lap race, the Aromas, CA driver would finish fourth and tally valuable points as he would line up on the front row of his second heat. Finishing second in his second heat after a spirited battle with DJ Freitas, Sanders found himself in a tie for ninth in points, which placed him in the fifth row of the 30-lap feature.
On a hooked up a sticky Petaluma Speedway, Sanders would hang inside the Top-10 as the race clicked off in rapid fire fashion. Battling through lapped traffic at lightening fast speeds, Sanders would pick up a couple of positions during the duration of the race.
Following a late restart, Sanders would go on to accept the checkered flag with a seventh place finish.
“It was great to get another race in as we prepare for the upcoming Trophy Cup,” Justin Sanders said. “Big thanks to Dale and Tara Miller, as well as to everyone who supports the team.”
