Justyn Cox and Moxie Motorsports Team Up for Upcoming Nor*Cal Posse Shootout

 PETERSEN MEDIA: For the second consecutive year, Justyn Cox will pilot an unfamiliar car at Placerville Speedway’s Nor*Cal Posse Shootout. Filling in for Tim Kaeding and driving the Bates Motorsports entry last year, the 2019 event will see Cox pilot the Moxie Motorsports No. 97 machine during the annual two-night event taking place September 20-21st.

“I can’t thank Vern Morrison and his team enough for thinking enough of me to give me a shot for this event,” Cox said. “I am really excited to work with Vern, Dave Vertullo and everyone associated with this team.”

Strong at Placerville Speedway the last few years, Cox was victorious at the track’s season opening point event earlier this year and has flirted with victory on a few more occasions at the ¼ mile bullring.

Finishing on the podium during both nights of the 2018 version of this event, Cox is poised to better himself and capture the 2019 edition as it rapidly approaches.

“This was the same weekend I got the opportunity to driver for Josh Bates a year ago and it went really well,” Cox said. “Working with a new team again, I am confident we can have a great couple of nights and hopefully we can will this deal. The team has been fast this year, and won the SCCT race with Jodie Robinson in Merced, so I am excited to see how we can perform.”
