Justyn Cox Hard Charges in SCCT Finale; Ends up Third in Final Standings

PETERSEN MEDIA- Saturday night in Stockton, CA, Justyn Cox and C&M Motorsports brought an end to their 2021 campaign with a Hard Charger effort at the Stockton Dirt Track with the SCCT that solidified their third-place positioning in the final point standings.

“Saturday night we got out to a bit of a slow start as we struggled in time trials and out heat race,” Justyn Cox said. “Cody and the guys worked super hard all night long and I felt pretty good in the feature. We made up a lot of ground and passed a ton of cars and ended our season with a Hard Charger award and third in SCCT points.”

With 24 cars checked in at Stockton Dirt Track for the final Sprint Car Challenge Tour event of the season, Justyn Cox would time the Berco Redwood/Berry Lumber, Inc./Legacy Specialties backed No. 7c mount in sixth fastest in his qualifying group.

Still fighting the same issues that plagued him in qualifying in his heat race, Cox would finish sixth and find himself 23rd on the starting grid.

On a super slick Stockton Dirt Track surface, Cox would get off to a strong start in the ‘A’ has he was able to pass cars early and often as he surged towards the Top-10.

Getting up to 12th, a restart just before the halfway point saw him make a power move to jump into eighth, however a yellow flag would negate his pass and it would line him back up in the 12th spot.

The next restart would not go as well for the Clarksburg, CA pilot as he would get up over the edge of the racing surface and fall all the way back to 21st as he looked to get his momentum built back up.

Just as he did during an early green flag run, Cox would again make some moves during the race’s final green flag run as he again surged towards the Top-10. Racing his way back up to 11th at the finish line, Cox would earn PitStopUSA Hard Charger honors, and end the season third in the final point standings.

“I had a blast racing with Cody and Mandi in 2021, and truly thank them for the opportunity they provided me,” Justyn Cox said. “We were in the hunt for the SCCT championship for most of the year, but we came up just short. Still, great to finish third which was a personal best for myself, and them as well.”

The C&M Motorsports team would like to thank Berco Redwood, Barry Lumber, Inc., Legacy Specialties, Inc., Lund Construction, Anrak, Alturas Tires, Swartz Diesel, PT Shocks, Creason Enterprises, and all of their product sponsors for their continued support.

ON TAP: Cox and C&M Motorsports have concluded their 2021 season.
