PETERSEN MEDIA- A tough start to the weekend saw Tim Kaeding and his Lunstra Motorsports team end strong as TK picked up a fifth place finish at the Huset’s Speedway on Sunday night.

“It was a tough weekend for our team, but I was pleased with how hard everyone continued to work even with our backs against the wall,” the San Jose, CA driver explained.

Heading to Greenwood, NE on Friday night to battle with the World of Outlaws, Kaeding would time the Dammer Trucking/Folkens Bros. Trucking/Sioux Falls Ford No. 3 machine in 17th fastest just narrowly missing the heat race inversion.

Starting sixth and finishing fifth in his heat race, TK would transfer into the feature event as he gridded the field from the ninth row for the 30-lap race. As the race got underway, Kaeding struggled to get moving forward.

Hanging around the Top-15 much of the race, Kaeding would battle with David Gravel and Ian Madsen late as he crossed the finish lined with a 14th place finish.

Traveling to the Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night, Kaeding got the night started off by timing in 14th fastest. Lining up in the third spot for his heat race, TK would battle with Gravel for the final transfer spot coming up short and being forced into the night’s B Main.

Lining up in the second row of the 12-lap B, Kaeding would get the Yager Agriculture Supply/EMI/Matt’s Repair machine into the second spot as he chased after Terry McCarl only to slow on the sixth lap and pull into pit area with mechanical issues that would end his night.

With two tough nights behind him, Kaeding and company checked into the Huset’s Speedway on Sunday night looking to end their weekend on a high note.

A rainstorm prior to the start of the night prompted track officials to scratch time trials and turn the program into a draw show as Kaeding would ultimately find himself in the third row of the second heat.

From his sixth starting position, TK would grab a few spots as he raced his way to a third place finish and find himself in the third row for the feature event. Kaeding would hold strong during the feature event as he ran inside the Top-five all race long, crossing the stripe with a fifth place finish.

“It was just one of those weekends we all would like to forget about,” Kaeding added. “Unfortunately you have those kinds of weekends in this sport, but we fortunate enough that we can have short memories and get back to racing in a couple of days.”

The Lunstra Motorsports team would like to thank Dammer Trucking, Folkens Bros. Trucking, Sioux Falls Ford, Yager Agriculture Supply, EMI, Matt’s Repair, Octane Ink, and Trac2Trail Arctic Cat for their support in 2015.

ON TAP: TK and the Lunstra Motorsports team will battle with the World of Outlaws this weekend as they take to the Crawford County Speedway on Friday, the Knoxville Raceway on Saturday, and the Huset’s Speedway on Sunday night.
