PETERSEN MEDIA- Friday night in Jackson, MN, Tim Kaeding and the Lunstra Motorsports team were able to breakthrough and grab their second feature event win of the season before backing it up with a second place finish with the World of Outlaws on Saturday night in Huron, SD.

“After some hard charges last week, it was nice to come out and get a win and a second place finish for the Lunstra Motorsports team,” Tim Kaeding said. “We have all been working hard, and it feels good to be back up front.”

Friday night at Jackson Motorplex, Kaeding timed the Folkens Bros. Trucking/East River Homes/Dammer Trucking No. 3 machine in 13th fastest during qualifying time trials.

Picking up a second place finish in his heat race, TK would find himself on the pole for the feature event. From his front row starting position, Kaeding would prove to be tough to beat on this night.

Leading the way over the likes of Kerry Madsen, Matt Juhl, and Bill Balog, Kaeding would be all business out front as he went on to pick up his second feature event win of the season.

Saturday night Kaeding and Lunstra Motorsports made the trip to Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, SD to again take on the World of Outlaws.

Timing in 12th fastest during qualifying time trials, the San Jose, CA native turned part time South Dakota transplant would finish during his heat race and earn a direct transfer into the ‘A’ main event.

On an extremely slick racing surface, Kaeding was able to keep his tires under him as he slowly worked his way to the front. Taking a couple of positions, as fellow drivers would lose tires, Kaeding was within striking distance late in the race.

With officials opting to cut one lap off the scheduled 30-lap affair due to track conditions under the final yellow of the night, Kaeding found himself in the third spot. Able to get my Shane Stewart on the final green-flag run, Kaeding capped a strong weekend with a second place finish.

“It was great to win on Friday night, and Saturday night felt like a win running second with the World of Outlaws,” Tim Kaeding said. “We have struggled at times, but in this sport momentum is everything. Thanks to my guys for their hard work.”

The Lunstra Motorsports team would like to thank Folkens Bros. Trucking, Dammer Trucking, Mihm Trucking, Yager Agriculture Supply, Matt’s Repair, East River Homes, and Trac2Trail Arctic Cat for their support in 2017.

ON TAP: With this week’s plan not finalized as of now, Kaeding and company are contemplating returning to Deer Creek Speedway on Thursday night to finish the feature event with the World of Outlaws before following the series to Cedar Lake Speedway on Friday and Saturday.
