Kalib Henry Charges to Second Place Finish as McColloch Motorsports Returns to Racing Action

PETERSEN MEDIA: With motor issues sidelining McColloch Motorsports for the month of May, the team was back in action with Kalib Henry on Saturday night at Placerville Speedway where Henry would put on a show and charge from 11th to a second-place finish.

“’It was awesome to get the motor back and get back to racing with McColloch Motorsports,” Kalib Henry said. “We tried some different stuff to start the night, and we had speed, we were just lacking a little, but we kept tweaking on it.”

With 31 cars checked in for a night of racing, Henry would go out 29th for time trials and still manage to rip off the seventh fastest lap of the night aboard the McColloch’s RV Repair/Express Sewer and Drain/Davis Truck Painting backed entry.

Lining up third in his heat race, the Mather, CA driver would pick up a second-place finish and firmly put himself in the 25-lap feature event where he would roll off the starting grid from the 11th position.

Making a few minor adjustments prior to the feature event, Henry would be able to put his machine anywhere he needed as he worked his way forward on the famed bullring.

Amidst a torrid battle with Tanner Carrick position inside the Top-Five, the duo would exchange positions on each end of the track for a handful of laps before the caution flew on lap 13.

Back underway, Henry would jump into the fourth position as he chased after the likes of Kyle Offill and Joel Myers.

Able to get into the third position, Henry would make a last lap pass to secure the second position coming to the checkered flag.

“Big thanks to Nick, Kerry, and my Dad for all of their hard work,” Henry said. “I am really excited to get back up the hill this weekend for the ‘Bradway’.”

McColloch Motorsports would like to thank McColloch’s RV Repair, Express Sewer and Drain, Davis Truck Painting, Driven Homes, Inc., ART Speed Equipment, RE Technologies, Hansen Machine, ADCO Driveline, and Gary Morgan Graphics for their continued support.
