Kasey Kahne To Fill Roth Motorsports Seat for Remainder of 2021

PETERSEN MEDIA- After a very stout run during Southern Iowa Speedweeks and at the Knoxville Nationals, Roth Motorsports has made the decision to name Kasey Kahne as the pilot of their World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series teamfor the remainder of the 2021 season.

“We have always had a great relationship with Kasey Kahne, and we are excited to have him finish out the season for us with the World out Outlaws,” Owner, Dennis Roth said. “When he was a young man, he did a great job driving for us, and when Kasey Kahne Racing housed a Roth Motorsports car for us in the mid 2000’s they represented us very well. This past week, he is coming off of a really nice job at the Knoxville Nationals in what was a last-minute arrangement for us.”

Having success with Roth Motorsports in the early 2000’s, Kahne returned to the seat for the Central California based team in May during the Peter Murphy Classic in California.

Planning to run a Kasey Kahne Racing entry at last week’s Knoxville Nationals, circumstances arose where Roth Motorsports offered the seat to Kahne for the prestigious event, and he shined as he earned quick time honors during his qualifying night and backed it up with an eighth-place finish during the finale.

With the last chunk of the season still to be ran, Kahne made the decision easy for Roth and he will hit the road along with Crew Chief Grant Boyum to finish out the season for the team.

“I am really excited and thankful for the opportunity that Dennis and Teresa Roth are providing me to race with a great team for the last ¼ of the season,” Kasey Kahne said. “It’ll be really fun, and challenging, going to some new places as we work hard to run up front every night with the World of Outlaws. We had a great trip to Knoxville, and I am looking forward to getting back to it and really getting started this weekend.”

In the final couple months of the season, the team will continue to use the same package of Triple X Race Components Chassis, Speedway Engines, as well as Factory Kahne Shocks on the Roth Enterprises/Jason, Tara, and Cole Roth Cattle Co./HR Livestock Transportation backed No. 83.

The Roth Motorsports team currently sits ninth in World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series owner’s points.

The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, Jason, Tara, and Cole Roth Cattle Co., HR Livestock Transportation, Roth Investments, Southern Pacific Farms, All Star Performance, FK Rod Ends, Vahlco Wheels, Triple X Race Co., AL Drive Lines, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Wings Unlimited, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, Smith Titanium, and Team Simpson for their support in 2021.

ON TAP: Roth Motorsports will be back in action when the World of Outlaws resume their schedule on Friday night at River Cities Speedway with Kasey Kahne.
